Pledge “nzmgcablobby”

"I will write to 5 MPs urging them to vote against the Marriage (Gender Clarification) Amendment Bill but only if 5 other New Zealanders will do the same."

— IdiotSavant

Deadline to sign up by: 31st December 2005
6 people signed up (1 over target)

Country: New Zealand

More details
The Marriage (Gender Clarification) Amendment Bill would define marriage in New Zealand law in exclusively heterosexual terms. More importantly, it would effectively overturn the Human Rights Act's provisions forbidding discrimination on the basis of marital and family status and licence active discrimination by private individuals in favour of (their interpretation of) marriage

Details here:

I'd like people to contact their MPs and urge them to vote against this bill.
