More details
Congressman Ron Paul, the leading voice in today's freedom movement, is running for President of the United States. Dr Paul represents our best opportunity to infuse the 2008 presidential elections with a conversation on personal freedom. But he can't succeed without the help of you and me! I'm putting my money where my mouth is by pledging a paltry 100 bucks to help his campaign, and I urge you to do the same.

Let's send a message to Washington and the media that this man and his message will not be ignored!

  • I have been torn whether to go on like I had never seen your call for pledge, or stop and comment of how it looks to me. I stopped.. "I'll pledge $100, if 100 others do", sounds like you don't REALLY believe in Ron Paul as Pres..
Any journey begins and KEEPS going when one foot moves forward, not waiting for 100 other footsteps first. One can not lead by following.. To lead is to lead.
This is not a tv show contest.. This is about your future, your posterities future.. The whole countries future.
This country hasn't had a choice like this for A LOOOONG time. This time it's history in the making, If we make it happen with all of us putting our 1 foot forward.
March ON and lead Jon and all!

  • Braveheart, I understand your sentiment. This election is an incredible opportunity for the country, and donating doesn't need to depend on a pledge. For the record, I personally am not waiting on 100 others before I donate -- I've donated well over that amount already, and will be donating my 100 bucks regardless of how many pledge. Still, it is a fun way to get others involved -- and statistically it looks like we have a good chance of raising $10,000 for the campaign. Not too bad! Good luck, and spread the message!

  • I agree with Jon, I will probably be donating more than $100, and not just because of this pledge. This is just a good way to motivate others.
Kevin Craine, 13 years ago. Abusive? Report it!
  • Already donated $192.00. So I figured, why not sign it.
Rochele, 13 years ago. Abusive? Report it!
  • I'll be encouraging everyone to donate millions directly and indirectly...some to the campaign but much more to the underground movements that will support Ron Paul with more grass-roots activism than has ever been seen before! Please get connected with other Ron Paul supporters in your area/region/state and do everything you can! Start a blog, send out emails and newsletters, make internet videos and audios, do anything and everything that you can! Write "letters to the editor"(LTE) to all your local/regional/state newspapers. Now is the time to put aside all the "labels" and for us all to join together to support the most liberty-minded and anti-war candidate and current congressman this country has! Go Ron Paul!
  • Jon, I see things have picked up since my last visit. GREAT! I am hailing from Craig, Alaska, Co-state coordinator for the America Freedom to Fascism volunteer network.
Anyway, an AFTF group in California will be doing a protest/rally... I really don't know what to call it. Anyway, they will be hanging out at the Post Offices round their town/s, handing out Freedom to Fascism DVD's to last minute tax filers on April 16th.[15th is a sunday].
Well you may know of the doins of the WTP org in DC today and tommorow with what I hope to be a large showing of "V"s around the capitol.
Well, What I am doing in my little island community of 1600 folks is to dress up in a brand new 'V' costume as a revolutionary statement, to hand out whatever i can of 400 AFTF Dvd's that iv'e purchased for this event, along with Ron Paul material.
It ought to be fun and hopefully productive to our cause.
[If any of you haven't seen the AFTF film, You need to, and get involved. This is a Great tool that Aaron Russo has produced for us. I have a feeling I may be preaching to the choir on this subject.]
Anyway Blessing, and let Freedom ring again.
  • Ron Paul is one sexy man!
Keith, 13 years ago. Abusive? Report it!
  • Ron Paul certainly CAN win. I'll donate $100. But I have CAr insurence, and Taxes coming up so I won't have that much money. I would donate MORE the $100 if I could look in a Cyristal ball and know for sure he'd win. With-out the income tax, that would save me $2,000/year, but what happens if I donate $2,000 and he doesn't win. Then I'll have the IRS there to rake me over the coals because I can't afford to pay it.

On the other hand, if EVERYBODY that wants lower taxes donate $2,000 to his campagn, he'd be on par with the major candidates, money wise. And he would definitely win.

  • Folks, anything will help ! Freedom is not free. If your on a budget, you can spread out your contribution of the course of the campaign! $20 a month can make a huge diference if 1,000,000 donate $20/month!!

  • That's a great idea, John.

Fund raising figures have to be announced by the candidates March 31st. The amount of money each candidate is able to raise by then is used by the press as a measure of the viability of the campaign. If it's at all possible please donate before then, and encourage your friends to do likewise!

  • Don't forget everyone, if money it tight spread the payment over a few month. This man is our only hope.
  • I will probably contribute more than $100 to Ron Paul's campaign, whether 100 people sign this or not. I believe in him, and he has a real chance to make it to the White House. We've given so much time, money, and effort already for so many campaigns that went nowhere.

Now we've got someone who could potentially become President.

  • Please sign up for this pledge:

Letters to the Editor will help.

  • I've considering donating to his campaign for 2 weeks now. I've been holding off, just because nobody likes to bet on the losing horse.

I signed your list, then got to thinking... Ron Paul is the only NON-loser in the entire field. So screw it. I went and donated another $1000 via the main website. 61 more signees and I'll be upping my total to $1100.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

  • Does anybody know what the regulations are regarding campaign contributions from foreign (Canadian) citizens? I was under the impression that they were illegal thanks to that douchebag McCain but I have yet to find a definitive answer, although I have yet to look beyond a half-assed browsing of Wikipedia.

You`ll see there won`t be any "Anti-Americans" left in "Old Europe", when the "Anti-Americans" who govern you get kicked out of office by Dr. No!

  • Due to budget constraints,I have been donating on a weekly basis, but I saw this challenge and figured that I could cover the extra money with a some overtime.

    Best wishes to Ron Paul!
  • Raoul, it isn't legal.
  • We're on board, & will be one of those who will be donating whether or not this pledge works out. The first & probably last time we'll ever willingly give our money to someone from Washington, I might add.
Tim & Karen Shea, 13 years ago. Abusive? Report it!
  • Ron rocks! Did you just see him on HBO?
  • I'm not waiting... I've sent in $200 for Ron Paul's campaign.
  • I'm in for $500 so far. I've also started placing some ads on the Internet.
Clarence Gardner, 13 years ago. Abusive? Report it!
  • That's wonderful Clarence and Bruce. You're doing a good thing for the cause of freedom.

  • I am on auto-ship $100 a month! FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. $25 a/week for this noble man seems fair.

Anyhow, did ou catch TIME magazine got PWNED for leaving out Ron Paul, check it out!!
  • I've just donated the legal maximum, $2300, and I strongly urge anyone who wants to get this message out to donate as much time, money, and effort as they can as soon as possible. Ron Paul already has been showing national support in the polls, but we absolutely need to get him as far ahead as possible right away.

The three big contests are in Maine, Iowa, and New Hampshire. Those three contests reduce the race to just two or three contenders--and sometimes just one.
  • That's incredible, Max. Thank you for the great example.
  • I'll be among those who pay up whether this pledge reaches 100 or not.
  • Nevermind the pleasantries. Everyone donate straight away. With political campaigns, early money makes a big difference. Money that will be needed for radio ads and fundraising efforts must show up right away, or people will never hear the case for downsizing government.

Even if you can only send $20 now, that one contribution adds to the list of donors and helps tremendously later on. Those paying attention to presidential campaigns now will likely become future liberty activists.

  • Just signed it. Great idea! Let's make the next pledge for one thousand people.
  • I pledged $100 and have started another pledge please sign up if you can afford it. KEEP THE PLEDGE DRIVE ALIVE
  • I donated $100 and now pledged another $100. Small price for liberty! Many have paid with their lives. If you don't have money, donate time. Make and put up your own signs like we've done here in phoenix- over 300 so far:
Why let the main stream media select our next president?

  • I sent in $100 to his campaign after signing this. I'm not bothering to wait for more people. Ron Paul is what I think most people really want in a candidate.
  • Thanks Jon for the forum and to all whom have donated and continue to donate for the "true american cause". I donate $200 per/mo and know that Congressman Ron Paul CAN and WILL WIN if "We The People" put our efforts into this worthy campaign for Ron Paul in "08" God Bless America and lets keep the good fight... ongoing!
  • Congratulations. I think that we have pledges and donations for $20,000 associated with this. Please get as much money as you can in as soon as you can. If you live in Maine, Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, or any of the early primary states, please try to attend presidential campaign events, especially for other candidates.
    pledge $200 to Ron Paul

  • Looks like I missed the deadline to sign the pledge, donated $100 anyway.

  • Unfortunately only American residents can contribute to political candidates... but Canadians can give money to American citizens to do with what they please. I'm more than happy to trust my best neighbour!! Ron Paul is the most refreshing thing to come to world politics in... well since I've been alive. He's given me hope for our political scene as well. Sorry to burst the naysayers bubble but he CAN win. If someone hasn't maxed their contribution I'm willing to donate.
