  • This is the only way we can avoid giving the Labour Party a penny until they change their policies.
  • Does "restoration of civil liberties" include scrapping the proposed ID card and National Identity Register? 'Cos if it does, I'm in.
  • Tim: Yes; "scrap proposals for identity cards" -- from p.13 of http://www.john4leader.org.uk/booklet.pdf, in the section on "civil liberties".

As far as I can tell, you have to give them £12 to join.

  • I meant to use the word "unless". What must be avoided is giving them money followed by them not changing their policies, for then you will have been tricked into supporting policies you completely disagree with.

There are reversals of this kind throughout the "democratic" political system that enable it to convert overwhelming public rejection of a particular policy into government support for it.
  • Where the 'manifesto' says "scrap proposals for identity cards". does that also include the proposals for the National Identity Register?
