It is madness to airfreight produce round the world for no reason when those people are starving and you could get it from the producer down the road. How can we trust the sellers though? are not many things marked 'British' in the supermarket grown or produced abroad and just encased in their plastic wrapper here in the UK? I think people are obsessed with 'brand' consumables (clothing, processed foods) most of which are made abroad exploiting cheap labour and lost jobs to Britian. I would pay a premium for quality goods truly made here, but many other people would not; they want things as cheaply as possible. Perhaps they see only the brand logo as the mark of quality and not the Union flag!
