  • Doesn't the specialisation of labour where it is most efficient mean more wealth overall?

  • How do jobs in other parts of the country benefit you? Why confine yourself to helping British people? Jobs in other countries benefit you if the area or people are better suited to the job: e.g. why on earth would you buy wine from Britain?

  • have you tryed wine from britain?
jobs in other parts of the country benefit our economy as said in the pledge.how does jobs in other countries benefit me just because they are better suited. how are they better suited.

  • I always choose food produced in my country and do not buy food which has been shipped half way across the world.

I think everybody in Europe should just buy European wine

Why buy wine which has been shipped from Australia or New Zealand?
  • andrew you got it unlike john a

  • most of my veg are British grown and picked with British labour as I grew them myself in my back garden! It is madness to airfreight produce round the world for no reason when those people are starving and you could get it from the producer down the road. How can we trust the sellers though? are not many things marked 'British' in the supermarket grown or produced abroad and just encased in their plastic wrapper here in the UK? I think people are obsessed with 'brand' consumables (clothing, processed foods) most of which are made abroad exploiting cheap labour and lost jobs to Britian. I would pay a premium for quality goods truly made here, but many other people would not; they want things as cheaply as possible. Perhaps they see only the brand logo as the mark of quality and not the Union flag! Mind you, I am typing this on a keyboard made in the far East!

  • Why are the people on the other pledges on issues like ripping down flags they do not like, sending medals back and calling for quasi military action not sign this pledge.
It would help a lot more people including local ones.

  • what a good pledge, but why only food? there are other high quality products and services that do not survive, because nobody buys them.

  • I have just signed your petition against the E.U and would urge everyone who cares about these islands to do the same.
