United States
I’ll do it, but only if you’ll help

Pledge “thankyouUS”

"I will , if the USA elects Barack Obama as President, donate $50 to a fund to buy a full page advert in the New York Times to say thank you to the American people but only if 10,000 other people around the world will donate at least $10 each."

More details
America has been heavily criticised recently for its foreign policy and impact on the rest of the world. While one change of President will not miraculously solve all those problems, it will be a recognition that the American people want something different, something new, a more positive relationship with the rest of the world. And I think they deserve a heartfelt thankyou from the rest of us, if they do indeed make that choice.

The cost of a full page ad in the NY times is around $150,000 dollars, but I'm hoping we could negotiate a discount!
