Great pledge! I'd encourage you to use the tools found in the yellow box on your pledge page to promote your pledge using flyers, MySpace, and blogs. PledgeBank also just launched a Facebook application (found at http://apps.facebook.com/pledgebank/); you can use that to invite friends to sign your pledge.

Good luck!

If the last question refers to my blog, America means the country (i.e., United States of AMERICA, not Canada, Mexico, nor any other country). My whole point is to look deeper into the US law (US Constitution, US Statutes, US Regulations; US law) that the US government don't want you to know (just trust us; we're from the government, and we're here to help). If you live in another country, it excludes you.

Not paying taxes, PERIOD, is NOT illegal, whether it is employers not taking taxes from employees' paychecks, or the people not taking taxes to pay the government. There is NO law requiring most individuals to file and pay; no statutes nor regulations, end of story. Read my post, titled "The 861 evidence" to erase any doubt. Click

Not withholding is NOT illegal.
Withholding originated as an optional method to pay taxes sooner to help during wartime.

It isn't and never was a mandatory method of taxation. Employers, you really have nothing to lose here. If you decide to not withhold, all it does is leave your employees responsible for that extra money during regular tax time. Whether they decide to pay or not pay their taxes has nothing to do with you.

5000 people is WAY too few. There are 300 million people in the US. This 5,000 will easily be written off as kooks. IMHO, We'd need at least a million people to have any real effect.

Brilliant idea! However, I'm not convinced this will work. 5,000 people is less than 1% of the population. Considering they jail many times that amount for victimless crimes (drugs, for example), it will be too easy for them to jail us for witholding taxes. Then, the government will just REQUIRE businesses to withhold our money. I support you 100%, I just can't join you knowing that the government has us by the balls.
