I am donating the money I 'owe' from this pledge to 'Friends of Bwindi', which supports young people in south west Uganda, particularly orphans and vulnerable children. Around 1 in 4 children are orphans as a result of HIV/AIDs and many live in child-headed families. There is great poverty and hunger in the region, so it is particularly appropriate for this pledge - and this region is already affected by global warming even though the people have no electricity or cars! http://www.friendsofbwindiorphanage.org The charity is run entirely by volunteers so the whole donation goes to beneficiaries, no admin costs like the big charities. http://www.pledgebank.com/stopfoodwaste#comment_2895762 Well done Liz on raising this important issue of food waste - especially relevant just after Xmas
