More details
The NIR (National Identity register) is an invasive database which will contain 51 categories of information about every UK citizen and resident foreigner living in Great Britain. In the initial stages it will be voluntary but eventually it will be mandatory. We are seeing the first stages of it in our new passports. This scheme will be incredibly expensive and unnecessary. The technology they are using is untrusted and untested, it will not work, the government will keep throwing more money at it, taking funding out of health care, emergency services, education, social services, upkeep of public property such as roads and parks, law courts and law enforcement, national defense etc. If this happen the UK will go the way of the Soviet Union.
