<description>Rechargables are not only good for the envioroment but good for your pocket as well! The initial cost of the batteries and the charger will soon be recovered by not buying non-rechargable batteries and rechargables are available in all the common battery sizes ie AAA/AA/PP3/D etc.Go for nimh rather than nicad as nimh batteries dont suffer from the memory charge problem that nicads do and at the end of their lives both nimh and nicad batteries are recyclable</description>

<description>For at least 3 years all the batteries that I've been using in my household (save batteries for my hearing aids, that are unavailable as rechargeable) have been rechargeable.</description>
