More details
LibriVox (http://librivox.org/) is a project that records audio versions of public domain texts. It's an amazing resource for students, people who are blind or dyslexic, and anyone who likes audiobooks.
To contribute a recording, all you need is a microphone (such as the one built into your computer), audio editing software (which you can download free), and the instructions on the site. All languages and accents are welcome. There's no limit to how many people can record a given text.
If you need help getting started, contact me on LinkedIn and I'll walk you through it.
