一次性木筷给森林带来巨大的破坏和压力。导致森林资源保有量低、分布不均、质量不高、林地流失严峻，以及林木严重过量采伐。
所谓“一次性卫生筷”并不卫生，长期使用会对食道、呼吸道等来严重健康危害，引起哮喘等。
