Hello everyone,
Well I originaly started a pledge to help out a charity that wanted a web presence, the take up of this pledge was really rather staggering! For every one person that has signed up I am getting another 3 or 4 proposals sent to me! When I started this pledge I had no idea there would be such take up.
It’s also very interesting as there are a number of likeminded developers who have expressed an interest in getting involved. This has got me thinking, my initial idea was to take up a single ‘good cause’ but now I am thinking about setting up a not for profit web agency. This group would be a central place for developers and charities to get together and help each other out.
What do you think, does it sound like a good idea?

He might be able to apply for an UnLtd Millenium Award of up to £5,000 to enable him to set this idea up, cover overhead/marketing costs and get it going.
He should look at www.unltd.org.uk and get in touch with his regional office.
Best regards

I'm not very good at doing web sites or development, but actively build networking systems as my job. I'd be interested in doing that for good cause organisations. I think they could benefit too (broadband, computer network, VoIP, secure email, and so on and so on).
I haven't signed up yet - Only if I am suitable.
Some projects involve web-design, some ask for help to clear a virus infected PC, some get quite technical asking for help with databases etc.
Good Luck
