  • well, did this as sort of trial and didn't really realise I can't change anything!

  • It's really easy to do - just say "I don't need a plastic bag, thanks" and quickly whip out your own pre-owned plastic bag neatly folded in your pocket and use that, or your own reusable bag. ;p
scully, 4 years ago. Abusive? Report it!
  • Someone asked me why I would only do it if 20 people did. That's the programme of this system and wasn't done by me. I would do it even if there weren't 20, but let's all do it together ya! :)

  • Wow, exciting that we're down to the last one person to sign! Let's hope it's before the end date of 20 June!

For the rest, please send in your views, suggestions and experiences to us for feature at Green Issues!
  • Quite a few people have been wondering what to do with their rubbish if they have no plastic bags to hold them. I think for the week long pledge, it is really about awareness on REDUCING the number that we take, many of which we may not even use for rubbish bagging. I think for rubbish disposal alternatives, we may have to look towards the future of some change in rubbish disposal, a lot more recycling ,composting of kitchen and food wastes that are not recyclable (tho difficult for most of us, granted) and maybe biodegradable bags (tho there are some issues now with biofuels so there would be some contraversy there).

    What are your thoughts?
