I've been making a feature documentary about a community of artists and performers since September 2006. I've shot 90% of it on my own and I'm editing it myself. It's stunningly visual and deals with issues of derelict urban space, the uneasy compromise of underground arts with corporate capitalism and the politics of communal life.

At this early stage of the edit it's very important that I can work without spending all my time doing freelance work. Anyone who donates at this stage will get a DVD copy of the film when it's done. Anyone who donates £20 or more will also get a ticket to the premiere- with live music and circus too.
I will work on it exclusively for the entire month of November provided I can afford to cover my bills, housing, food etc. The £800 this pledge could generate will take care of that, with £200 going on production costs and the rest on living expenses.
I will have to look again for donors at the start of November, as it is going to take longer than a month to finish this. So if you like the film so far and want to see more, please tell your friends and forward them the link.
This is an experiment for me- I would be absolutely knocked out to receive help on this and the knowledge that I am supported by so many people would make the work that much easier.
