Litter is a huge problem.
In my road, sandwich and junk food wrappers, are thrown out of car windows, drinks cans and crisp packets are stuffed in the hedges by walkers and school children.
Environmental pollution and wildlife injury or death from plastics is at breaking point.
It is unsightly and teaches children that it is ok to live in a disposable - lazy society, rather than respect, look after and ENJOY the natural beauty of the environments we all share.
Litter costs our councils millions of pounds every year - a cost which ultimately comes back to the litter bug through rises in his own council tax bill !
Please help me to encourage others to LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE! by picking up litter whenever you see it, and making it sociably unacceptable to drop it.
The old gentleman that lived in my property before me helped keep my street litter free, for which I'm sure many were grateful of. Now it's my turn. Not only will I pick up litter when I see it, I will confront any person I see doing it and/or report them if necessary. I hope you will to.
