I set up the new Love Music Hate Racism website a couple of months ago. It's been quite successful, but recently Ive been a bit slack in improving it, adding new things.
If you are a programmer, designer or database bod (or would like to be!) and think you can help 1) improve the website and 2) kick me up the arse to make sure I do my 5 hours then please signup.

I would describe myself more as an enthusiastic amateur then a programmer/web developer, but I'd love to help - what exactly do you need doing?
That sounds counter-productive to me!
Why promote such a hostile emotion? Doesn't it cloud judgment and prevent reasoned discussion?
enthusiastic amateurism sounds great! As far as what needs doing, it's anything that you think would improve the site, but a couple of suggestions would be:
- design a nice/ammusing 404 error page for when the website goes wrong
- improving the member signup page
- working out the best way of showing gigs with reviews or pictures
- checking stats to see which parts of the site are working and which are not
Willing to help design/host the website. just need to be told what to do! just a suggestion about what max said, mabye explane what it stands for a bit more. That would stop confusion among visitors.
