More details
Because it is easier for me to give up drinking Coke than it is for people to bring their relatives back to life.

"Coca Cola stand accused of complicity in the assassination of 8 Sinaltrainal trade union leaders in Colombia since 1990. Many other leaders have been imprisoned, tortured, forcibly displaced and exiled. Of course, Coca Cola deny any responsibility for the murders, pointing out that 100s of union leaders are killed every year in Colombia. However, many of Sinaltrainal’s victims were killed inside Coca Cola plants while negotiating collective agreements. Coca Cola management were reported in the national press as meeting and contracting members of the AUC death squads to “sort out their labour problems”.

So why the boycott? Sinaltrainal have exhausted all the legal avenues in Colombia, where their applications to the courts have been manipulated and rejected. However, in the USA, in a court case brought in solidarity with Sinaltrainal by the United Steel Workers Union, a judge has ruled that there is enough evidence for a case to continue against Coca Cola’s Colombian subsidiaries. However, the multinational refuses to cooperate with the union, and the violent repression continues. Coca Cola are also suing the union for libel. The boycott and international campaign are powerful but dangerous weapons, the workers in Colombia know that they will bear the brunt of the repression for highlighting these facts. They deserve your solidarity.

“We ask Coca Cola to stop killing, and you to stop drinking Coke”
Carlos Julia, Sinaltrainal"

  • Some people have said they can't sign because they never buy Coke anyway. You can stilll sign as long as you try and persuade friends and family when you are getting drinks in etc to switch from Coke to an alternative.
  • Another reason to give up coke - Z list celebrities love it... http://www.vogue.co.uk/Gallery/coca_cola...
  • Yes, I gave up with these corporate terrorists a long time ago now. never want to see them operate again, the crimes they commit in some countries - they are sick to allow it to happen, but hey Coca Cola did work in Nazi Germany and profited from it also like many corporations did that operate to this very day some of them are biotech companies and chemical companies that genetically engineer our food and posion us.

It's all junk anyway, what are the ingredients, no natural ones, no kola leaf, nothing any good but sugar flavoured coloured soda that rots our teeth. When they changed their secret formula US citizens protested but no boycott...hmmm...remember to research their origin and what coke-cocaine was originally bad medicine thats what.

That force GM fodo on us all and crap food that poisons us all - they won;t allow Mexico or any other country to have TAX on crap food such as corn syrup no they support corproate terrorists- you you want an autoimmune disease such as dibetes? Then eat healthy from now on!

They don't care for our health at all - that is why they allow corporations to force feed us this crap - there is little choice - thank God we now have some organic food supermarkets about to conquer Europe from the (US expansion-)UK it's about high time we got some good quality whole food - who better than WFM.

Boycott all major unethical corporations! Consumer power rules! Educate yourselves to save yourselves. Ifwe force these terrorists to shape up then they will go ethical eventually or it will cause them to go bang.
