Sirukathai is a small organization in Ooty, India that wants to open up the world of books to children who don't have access to libraries.

We think that getting a child to read anything outside his or her textbooks, will help in opening up new worlds, develop thinking processes, aid communication, foster self confidence and create a better, more balanced and compassionate citizen.

• i dont think one needs to wait for 500 people to donate books for me to do the same. i would rather lend or buy a book to a child than give money. i wouldnt call it a donation. i would call it my due, rather our due.
