Pledge “freelunch”

"I will move to Massachusetts by 12/31/2009 where I will work to bring about a society in which government’s minimal role is providing food, healthcare, and jobs but only if 999 other dependence-loving communitarians will do the same."

More details
I am a participant in the Free Lunch Project, www.freelunchproject.com, which has the goal of getting 20,000 people to agree to move to Massachusetts where they will work to bring about a society in which government’s minimum role is providing food, healthcare, and jobs. However, I don’t want to wait for 20,000 to agree to move before relocating. I want to move now. I am calling on dependence lovers and communitarians everywhere to move with me, to be a pioneer for the concept of a free lunch for all, to be a beacon of dependence on welfare in the Free Lunch. Together we can bring about a state with increased government and reduced liberties. Join me!

All current FLP participants are urged to pledge to an early move. And those who have already moved (since 10/1/03) are also eligible for inclusion. For non-participants, signing the FLP’s SOI is not required, though we encourage it should you desire to do so. Of greater import, is creating the Free Lunch we know *can* exist by gathering together and being activists for more government and less freedom.

Massachusetts was already one of the top states closest to the goal of socialism at the time of the state vote in 2006. At that time the participants chose Massachusetts among all of the eleven candidate states to be the center of welfare in the United States. The state motto “Ense petit placidam sub libertate quietem” is in Latin, so we don't really understand or care what it means. It does look kinda cool though. The governorship is the strongest of all states due to poor checks and balances brought on by cronyism and nepotism. For more information on Massachusetts visit the FLP MA Info webpages.

Already, early movers are having an impact towards a welfare society. Several early movers have run for office and some have won! Other early movers have been appointed to offices on school, budget, and planning committees/boards.
Come join me in Massachusetts! Let's build a Free Lunch together!
