While i think the idea of buying these machines at triple the target price, in order to fund units for children in 3rd world countries is an excellent idea in principle, it concerns me that this would cause certain governments to see these laptops as a money making scheme, they can buy them in at $100 a piece and resell them to us in the west via the magic of ebay for several hundred dollars. A commercial model based on the $100 design but with obvious differences to make the system more gadget-junkie friendly(no that doesn't mean running commercial software), selling for ~$200 sounds like the way to go here.
