I just returned from a two week workshop on Design for Kids with Special Needs in Armenia. A group of 20 designers and educators from around the world worked with kids in special education or medical settings to design toys and learning aids to facilitate their growth. Organized by a German non-profit org www.spielmittel.de, we observed children in their context of living and medical assistance and than designed for their specific needs. The results will be available for parents and educators to copy.

This experience has taught me that the exchange of ideas, skills and opinions has a farther reach than money. Looking forward to continue!
