I've often thought that record companies miss one point about the decline in CD sales. It is simply that much of modern pop music is rubbish. They should simply ask themselves why so many young people prefer to listen to 60's music?
I have always preferred to buy and own music I like in a hard format. I am not interested in a soft copy that I could lose with the next disk crash and there is something special about the artwork that makes a CD a product and a row of CDs on a shelf.
The answer for record companies is simple: get the product right.colin whyles, 11 years ago.
