I live in the U.S. and the government here has also been trying to get a National ID card for years. After 9/11, it seems it will become easier. I am very much against it and will fight it. I am glad to see people in other countries doing the same thing. I hope you all manage to get them to drop this whole idea. I am with you all the way on this one. I'd sign the petition but I don't live in the U.K. I posted it on a couple of my sites so maybe some of my readers who do live in the U.K. will read about it and sign your petition.
