Four posts from Arizona this week, on the Florence Immigration & Refugee Rights Project. Lawyers read them and I got more pitches, so we’ll have three more posts (probably next week) on the Arizona Attorney Magazine blog. Thanks again for this great idea! Here are our stories (so far):

Submitted pledged blog post today to PovertyInsights.org and requested that it be posted by October 30th. Subject is NYC Department of Homeless Services HomeBase research protocol which denies services to 200 families in control group for two years. Looks to be in violation of Callahan v Carey settlement (1981) and subsequent legal initiatives. I'm not an attorney, hope NYC area attys. will seek justice for these unfortunate families.

You can never overdose on love, kindness, compassion and spirituality. Any means of communicating to your fellow beings on the planet is lightwork at its finest. The life that many of us lead, fraught with stress and tension, needs all the TLC we can give. It takes very little, but has lasting effect and boundless goodness. A prayer, a kind word, an opened door, a hug, a pleasant greeting reaps infinite rewards.

This is a perfect example of it, and to participate is an honor and a privilege.

Love to all.

In celebration of National Pro Bono Week, the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation is pleased to introduce LawForChange.org, a legal portal designed to support and strengthen the U.S. social sector.

Please help us use this online campaign to spread the word about this valuable new resource to those who might benefit from it in the pro bono legal community.
