Richard Dawkins' arguments against Religion are more or less well founded (although, admittedly, emotional rather than rational arguments.) But his arguments about God are totally ridiculous. Let's be honest, even Christians have issues with religion, so Dawkins is well placed there. But he has obviously had a bad experience with religion and certain ways people represent God and he has debunked God entirely because of people. Hardly rational, if you ask me.
Secondly, the original pledgebank brings up a case about a church asking for exemption from homosexual couples being able to adopt from their agency... this is surely their right. People who want to take the rights away of some for the sake of others, are just causing more problems. Forcing the churches to allow homosexual adoption is as bad as churches forcing people not to. What's the difference? It's hypocritical of atheists to assume their morals are better than everyone elses.

"I will register again for the 'church-and-state' pledge if it hasn't reached its target by saturday 24th march but only if 10 other people (or more!) will do the same."
