If any artist gets a "deal", it will be a negative thing. It means that when we pay for Jo O'Meara's CD we will be paying partly for the record company too. Why not get the contents of that CD, burn it then donate the same money, and it will go all to her, not to some record company that only burns the CD. Now the case could be , that you don't have a CD burner, and that complicates matters. Sites like Jamendo have music that share one commons thing. Legal to share music on the internet , and to those who like that music donate money to the artist/artists. (creative commons license it's called) This seems more like we are begging for those record companies to get part of Jo O'Meara's money, while money could be directly donated to Jo O'Meara. Jo O'Meara might not have heard about creative commons or the site Jamendo.
