<description>I also think that a whitelist is the only way to stop spam.

The largest contingent of spam I get is on a domain where I accept undefined addresses (not this one). Spammers just try any old name @ your-domain.</description>

<description>I already have my spam filter set to throw away all hotmail and yahoo addresses unless they specifically ask to be added to the whitelist.  Whenever a whitelist is requested I'll suggest an alternative service.  Turnabout is fair play.</description>
