More details
Children in Liberia lack the basic nutrients needed for their bodies. They have little food, drink dirty water and don't have access to healthcare. But a daily vitamin can make a world of difference!
I work with hundreds of children in orphanages in Liberia, and would love to be able to provide the kids with vitamins for 1 month...3 months...6 months...1 year?! I'll be honest, vitamins can get expensive(especially when you're broke), so I'm looking for others to help.
I'm looking for donations of new, unopened and non-expired bottles and packages of children's chewable vitamins (think Flintstone's). It is important that they are still sealed because vitamins mold quickly in the humidity. The gummy vitamins won't work because they will just melt in the heat.
Chewable vitamins are great because the kids think they're getting candy and while they enjoy something 'sweet', they're getting important (and much needed) nutrients!
Thank you in advance for your generosity! If you have any question, please don't hesitate to ask.
God bless!
P.S. I'm leaving to go back to Liberia on February 19th and will take as many vitamins with me then. Whatever I can't take then will be shipped.
