Midlands Vegan Campaigns is currently organising Veggie Pride UK to take place in Birmingham City Centre on Sat 16th May.

Full approval from Birmingham City Council is still pending.

Veggie Pride UK aims to be a celebration of vegetarian and vegan diets/lifestyles. It`s an opportunity for everyone following these lifestyles to come together for a fun, carnival style event whilst also raising awareneness of the many benefits - for human health, animals, environment etc.

Subject to council approval, the event is likely to consist of an outdoor festival with food, stalls, live stage entertainment etc and a vibrant carnival procession through the city streets, with local steel band, samba band, colourful costumes(eg. super heroes, vegetables, animals etc!!), banners, flags etc.

YOU CAN MAKE THE EVENT HAPPEN !!!

The council want some assurance that Veggie Pride UK will attract a significant number of people. They don`t want to grant approval, only for it to be a flop due to lack of numbers attending!   • Sounds like a great idea. I have been reading loads lately on the health benefits of a plant based diet. Google nutritarian, Dr Fuhrman, Caldwell Esselstyn, John Robbins... there are many more. Plat based diets can reverse heart disease and diabetes, prevent strokes and so on. I have been vegan since my eyes were opened in January this year. Here's a sample video that shows how some drug companies may not approve of the truth getting out:
