Bwindi Orphans’ Primary School & Nursery in North West Uganda provides education for the children of the Batwa Pygmies and Orphans of the region.
These children attend free of charge and their fees are covered by paying pupils.
All the children of the area desperately want education and their choir sings out:
“Please give us education, we are tired of tending goats”
James Musinguzi the Headmaster of Bwindi Orphans’ school is delighted that our latrine appeal of 2005 raised £1000, which built full toilet facilities for the 240 pupil school, who previously had been deprived of adequate facilities. The newly built latrines saved the school from closure.
In 2006 James hopes to raise £6000 to built three brick classrooms and a dormitory for children who travel long distances to school, to stay overnight.
I visit the school every year and the work they do is trully wonderful!
