The challenges of climate change and peak oil demand that neighbours come together as communities and act on a seemingly impossible planetary scale. Now over a 1,000 communities are coming together across the globe as part of Transition movement and starting to offer, not only a hope of resilience in the face of challenge, but a real glimpse of a positive vision of a post fossil fuel society.
Firstly the Transition movement is important beyond comprehension. Secondly, the Transition training is essential as we learn our way though unchartered waters and finally Lynn is a visionary and a motivator. Put the three together and you have a resource of unquantifiable value, helping to educate and galvanize the newly formed community groups and Transition initiatives of our region.
This pledge was inspired by Ben Metz of Ashoka who is involved with Transition Town Hackney. see http://transitionculture.org/2009/04/22/...

My personal desire is to help empower local communities so they can spread awareness and create practical solutions for living in harmony with all aspects of our environment, inside and out.
I'd love to support you getting this training - you are just the person for it.
I have said it many times, and I say it again: Lynn, you are a source of inspiration for how to be and act in order to make change happen in the world. Your work is important - locally and globally.

Even if you are not local, you can still help us reach our goal. First, sign this pledge, so we know you have made the commitment. Then, when you are ready to send your payment, you may send it via PayPal to:
lynn [at] create-a-life [dot] co [dot] uk
I've written it like that so the address doesn't get picked up by spammers. Just replace the [at] with "@" and the [dot] with "."
If you mark it as a "gift", you can opt to pay the 53p service charge yourself if you wish to ensure we receive the whole £10.
I received this suggestion by Global Wellness Circle member Mahesh. :-)
Thanks!
I have pledged (and paid) £10.
