Windmill Hill City Farm in Bristol has set up an appeal to raise £50,000 by Christmas to avoid the threat of closure.

Tens of thousands of people both locally, in Bristol and elsewhere have visited the Farm over the past 33 years. For many of us it was an essential part of our lives when our children were young or when we needed somewhere quiet and peaceful, and yet full of life, in the middle of the city.

If just 500 of us will make this pledge we can reach a quarter of our target.

I've been going to this farm since I was a baberr and even now hearing the geese honk and cockeral crow on my way to Asda makes me smile. Well done to everyone for supporting this great cause - don't forget your Gift Aid form!

Dawn — the "I have not done it" that you see is a button that appears only when you are logged in to PledgeBank. No-one else sees it (except next to their own name, if they happen to be logged in).

It's a button that you can click on if you've accidentally claimed to have made your payment when in fact you haven't. Clicking the button will remove the green tick next to your name.

This site is confusing. I have paid my pledge, but clicked the "I have not.." button next to my name BEFORE I found the explanation hidden over here in an an answer to Dawn Browning. Now the green tick has gone from my name, and I look like a non-paying hypocrite. I'm all for WHCF, but completely over it as far as PledgeBank is concerned. Tim, YOU sort it out. Or not. I know and WHCF knbows that that I've done what I promised.
