Pledge “Pauls-100mill”

"I will donate $100 but only if 1,000,000 other people will do the same."

— Steve, Ron Paul's $100 million

Deadline to sign up by: 1st January 2008
2,516 people signed up, 997484 more were needed

Country: United States

More details
If you think Ron Paul has a chance to win the 2008 elections, then by Nov. 2008 he will need over 60 million votes (number of votes for Bush in last election). So he better start getting at least 1 million people now and those people better show it soon. Hence the publicity and the power of collecting $100 million.

I would like help spreading this around; please help me do that and feel free to put it on different websites, posters, and the like.

This pledge is now closed, as its deadline has passed.

  • I've got a better idea: let's all give at least $100 now, and pledge to give another $100 once a million have made their pledge!
  • its picking up again...we can do this we just need more media exposure

  • Found you guys on (via Google News, buried on Page 4, sorted by date) before I found you on Facebook.

I pledged (under my individual address), I donated, I placed on my Facebook profile, I shared with 3 others. Anyone else who's receptive to this message I'll send this way as well.

Ladies and gentlemen: Just do a little bit, and ask them to do the same. If that happens, sooner or later this thing will go exponential.

For freedom's sake, put off purchasing that iPod Nano!
  • Invest in Ron Paul for President! DONATE TODAY and when he's elected we'll all get our Money back when the "Closed" sign is stamped on the IRS! Whooohooo!! I'm donating all I can when I can! Awesome ROI in my view. "Hope for America!" Spread the word and and go above and beyond for Freedom!!!! =)
Can you imagine keeping your whole paycheck!?!?!?! That's worth paying for!!! Support Ron Paul so we can all prosper!!!
  • 20,000 @ $100 each is not 20 million.
    That is 2 million.

Which is more likely? 20,000 donating $1,000 each or 200,000 donating $100 each?

  • yeah...pledgebank says this is the largest US pledge EVER however not the largest overall, which had 11,361 signatures and was a UK pledge...lets beat it

  • We've made this pledge. Now I ask you to do more. Don't wait. Contribute now:
Schools of fish undulate in direction, leaderless, as do flocks of birds and it seems people do similarly with their need to vote for the winner when the absurdity of that is the winner is created by their vote. With people, the dynamic of that is not quite leaderless as powerful interests have learned how to manipulate. Ironically, it is not those few, but we the people have the votes to decide IF that is what we choose to do rather than go with the perceived flow of people voting. Don't wait to see what others will do. Be part of the dynamic. Change what others will do! We just got twenty million dollars of free publicity in the news by contributing more than five million dollars to Ron Paul's campaign this election quarter and we still have the five million dollars! What a deal! You can see how your contribution can do more for the campaign now than later. This "I will contribute if others will" pledge reminds me of throwing a party and inviting people who asked who's coming. I invited a lot and all of them wanted to come to a big party, but no one came because no one wanted to go unless all the others were going. Silly Earthlings! They are like that. Am I the only one that sees this? It is like I woke up in an episode of Twilight Zone! Consider contributing more. Sell things. Become broke. I did by contributing $2,300 and it was more of a sacrifice for me than it would be for most reading this. It really doesn't matter as you will be broke anyway because whatever your issue and whatever your wealth, it all becomes a moot point after what will become known as The Great Collapse to be followed by global governance. See for yourself: Discussion and your comments are invited.

  • Hey folks - 100 bucks is one night out with your spouse. Stay home one night (2 in some areas), eat some Pop Corn, and enjoy your kids. If over a million people will cough up a 100 bucks to watch a football game every weekend, we should be able to attract 1 million pledges of 100 dollars by the end of football season, December 31. After all, which is more important, an evening out for a fattening dinner, a football game put on by the Roman Empire to keep you entertained, or the possibility that you grand kids could be the first generation entering the next Dark Ages. It's time to get serious about human individual liberty. If you want Liberty, you have to give Liberty and right now you can give it to your Grandkids for 100 bucks. Don't worry about you neighbors. They're smarter than you might think.

  • We already have 2000+ signatures x $100 = $2M. But the donation ticker says only $465k - DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO TURN YOUR NAME FROM BLACK TO GREEN OR YOU WON'T PLEDGE BEFORE THE XMAS SHOPPING SEASON!!! PLEDGE YOUR $100 NOW. If you do, we'd have over $2M+ more for the primaries now.

  • Follow the progress of the stats here:

help us beat last week in total donations raised by completing this pledge as soon as you can!
  • Agreed with the other commenters: sign the pledge, but donate the $100 today. The faster Ron Paul completes his $12M campaign, the more he'll be taken seriously. I want to blow that $12M number out of the water!
  • John,

    2000 x $100 is $200K, not $2M.

  • No problem Steve, Moving the date to the end of the 4th quater works for me. I am sure we can do this. Just let us know. Ron Paul is getting so much more press and interviews since the five million I can't wait to see how they react to the 12. I am going to try and put my pledge in this month. I just need to stay away from Macy's :):)

  • Hi, I'm the guy who put this pledge up. I have tried the email function of this site for the 1st time tonight, to see if it worked and 2. trying to promote Ron on 2 of the most popular websites. One guy politely complained and the other swore at me. Please let me know if you want me to share any Ron info and help to promote this pledge. If you don't could you please block my email address in your email provider so I won't bother you. I'm not selling anything but Ron and I will never share any email address I get. I will not talk about
anything except Ron and maybe fighting vote fraud to help getting Ron elected. Also please let me know if any other spam is getting linked to the emails I send out. I'm new at this and don't want anything bothering the pledges of this site. Thank you, Steve

  • Have you asked the campaign for a link on their web-site? I'm not even sure how I stumbled upon this pledge, but it was through several layers of news coverage. Moving the date is fine with me, I was planning to donate another $500 at the end of the quarter anyway. Regards.

  • Cool. One person ask me to make each $100 count as a pledge since she was going to do the max at $2300, God bless her, but one of the reasons for this site is just not the money but that 1 million of us has the balls(ovaries) to say look you *******'s I support Paul with bucks, you better get out of my way for FREEDOM
Steve, 11 years ago. Abusive? Report it!
  • I am one of those who pledged but I am giving no matter what. I already gave in the last quarter's drive which saw the $5.1M collected.

In my mind, true supporters and believers of the message do not wait for others to follow suit. This is the same psychology of many who will vote for Giuliani just bec other people think he is electable.

Each person has a voice in their vote. In this case, your voice is your ability to give regardless of what other people will or will not do. This is our sacred duty, nay, privilege. We need to exercise it with our conviction, regardless of other people's action or inaction.

  • This is not a "can do" effort; it is a "must do" effort if you believe in freedom and liberty. The 'powers that be' will fight us on this but that's okay as we have truth on our side and a man of integrity and principle to carry the ball; Dr. Ron Paul! Please consider the consequences if we don't act: for both ourselves and our posterity. For me and my family, we choose liberty and the unshackeled freedom it brings. Join us in this historic task, to return our beloved republic to it's foundational roots and the wise path laid out by our country's founders. Support Ron Paul and sign the pledge.

  • I believe every person is brought into this world for a reason. I honestly feel that this is the season for Ron Paul and the restoring of America. Having said that, Every one of the supporters of the great cause needs to know that we are here for such a time as this. This is our cause and this is our time. Do not let this slip away due to procrastination or second guessing. If you have not signed up on this pledge, do so now. Not tomorrow or later NOW!!!. One hundred dollars can never be the issue. There are countless ways to come up with 100.00. If you put your mind and HEART to it, you can find a way to come up with the 100.00 by Dec 31. Come on guys, the clock is ticking and we can not, must not, will not be counted out!!

  • I think you should make it a pledge for 30,000 people to donate $25.00 a week until the end of the quarter. That's all it will take for him to meet his goal of 12k. I think there are 108 days left in the quarter. That way he'd exceed the goal, no problem, because other people will be donating money too. I'm doing it anyway. I won't donate the $200 unless a million others do the same. That's the pledge and a pledge is a pledge. I'll be giving him money no matter what. But the idea is for everyone to give and trust that they are not the only ones giving, that they will truly make a difference.

  • Hi Everyone,

There is another non official Ron Paul drive that is attempting to raise $10,000,000 on November the 5th.

They have 4,654 subscribers already. Each subscriber is going to give $100 on November the 5th. If you haven't already given your money here, but you have made the pledge, sign up there as well and give your money on November 5th!

Let's help Ron Paul get the largest amount of money in one day any candidate ever has! Look on youtube for more info on this.

  • This is a great idea...there is a similar one going on for November 5th where 100,000 hope to donate $100 to give him 10 million, so perhaps those of you that are choosing to donate $100 could conjoin with the November 5th mass donation and really exceed all expectations!!! Check out and let win it for Dr. Paul!!!

  • I'm a Libertarian, and being a Libertarian means being a realist.

Money sent to Ron Paul is nothing more than a contribution to his personal wealth---you DO know that he gets to keep what he doesn't spend, right? You might as well go ahead and send your hard earned money to me - I have about as much chance of moving into the White House as Mr. Paul, and I could really use the bucks.

There are only about 250,000 Libertarians in all of the U.S.. Check out this Wall Street Journal article from Sept 12 of this year (

"More than perhaps any other American political group, libertarians have suffered the blows of caricature. For many people, the term evokes an image of a scraggly misfit living in the woods with his gun collection, a few marijuana plants, some dogeared Ayn Rand titles, and a battered pickup truck plastered with bumper stickers reading "Taxes = Theft" and "FDR Was A Pinko."

The stereotype is not entirely unfair. Even some of those who proudly call themselves libertarians recognize that their philosophy of personal freedom and minimal government can be a powerful magnet for the unhinged. Nor has recent political history done much to rehabilitate libertarianism's image as an outlier.

The Libertarian Party's paltry membership has never reached much beyond the 250,000 mark, and polling numbers for Ron Paul, the libertarian candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, remain pitiable."
One, 11 years ago. Abusive? Report it!
  • This is why Ron changed to Republican and he is the only one there, all the others are more like Democrats.
If you look at Ron's history of integrity you would see even if he raised a billion dollars that he would do the right thing and use it to promote freedom in this country. If my hero is good enough to be my president then he is good enough to manage a large sum of money for the benefit of freedom.

  • I have known Dr. Paul for many years. He is a man of consistent beliefs and integrity. I really don't think our country is completely ready for eliminating the IRS and Dept. of Education, etc. HOWEVER, if One Million people will pledge money, then, he has a REAL chance of being better covered by the super liberal national media. THAT SAID, I am ready to pledge my $100 if others do the same!
