The 49ers last night indicated that Micheal Vick a convicted dog abuser would possibly be considered as a addition to the team once he was no longer in prison.

I am asking 999 other people to sign this pledge saying they will stop doing the following if the 49ers do not renounce there consideration of Michael Vick as a possible addition to the team.

1. Stop wearing any 49er merchandise

2. Stop purchasing 49er merchandise

3. Stop purchasing game tickets

  • I would like to thank everyone who signed up! The 49ers have announced they have no interest in Michael Vick

    http://blog.pressdemocrat.com/49ers/2009...

Coach Mike Singletary did not express interest in acquiring Vick during a question-and-answer session with reporters following a state-of-the-franchise event Monday in San Mateo. But Singletary created plenty of intrigue when he also did not rule out Vick as an option.

But, now, the 49ers are ruling it out.

"The 49ers are not interested in Michael Vick," said a team spokesman Tuesday evening.

I think this is in part due to many of you who emailed and contacted the 49ers like I did, letting them know you would not be happy with the 49ers and would stop buying there products (merchandise+tickets) if they signed Vick or even continued to think about it.

    Thanks again!

  • Had I known of this as a real concern, I would probably have participated as I am highly concerned with gangs making more and more off the NFL; and thereby, us. This, more than the issue of him playing is becoming more an issue the league and law enforcement entities will have to contend with. At some point people in general will know where large portions of their funds actually go, and it seems to be the best way effectively for the matter be dealt with in a proactive manner, rather than wait for things to get worse. Seems as regular as the NCAA mainline for a college athlete to be a member of a gang.
