I haven't voted for a Republican since I moved to Califronia from Oregon in 1984. However, I feel strongly enough about losing our common heritage to the electronic lock that I will hold my nose and vote for the Republican candidate if support for PERFORM and acts like it continue.

With the number of similarly "right-wing" minded things Ms.Feinstein stands for in spite of the little "D" she puts on the end of her name, it is a wonder I'm willing to vote for her of all. She's always been the lesser of two evils, and sometimes the lesser of two evils is still too evil to bear any longer. I just wish we could clone Barbara Boxer.

Senator Feinstein has a habit of siding with Hollywood money over her citizen's rights to freely produce and consume digital media. I've had enough. I'll vote Libertarian if this keeps up.

Sen. Feinstein must like Hollywood campaign money better than her Silicon Valley constituency. Regulating the internet simultaneously props up Hollywood's outrageous price model and makes it harder for free competition to emerge and the web to thrive - we have to read rules when we should be making content. The Democrats should be providing an alternative to the excesses of the DHS and drug warriors, not trying to add the digital police to the mix.

If Sen. Feinstein continues to support Big Business and the Entertainment industry, as usual, over her Consititutes needs and rights, then she will soon find herself in troubled waters. Do not support the greedy RIAA/MPAA Pigopolists if you still want my vote.

I would certainly not be considering voting Republican with the current climate, but I also consider further DRM restrictions for worse (in the long run) than whatever Republicans could do -- which is why I would pledge to support Republican candidates from her on out, if Senator Feinstein continues her support of the PERFORM act - an act that would certainly hurt and harm the majority of her constituents.

I mean, how damn stupid does she need to be to not have a clue in that regard!?

Hey folks, can you please think outside the box for once? There are more than two options for political parties. If more people started thinking this way, they'd be a viable option. As it stands, what good are either the Democrats or Republicans doing for us anyway? Who cares if you vote one or the other, its the same crap, regardless. DRM and "music protection" is crap. Hey I understand that you are all upset and I agree with you, but lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. I think that it is a big mistake to vote for ANYONE IN THE REPUBLICAN party. They are very controling, and in bed with the religious right. I am so mad at the Democrates right now that I am considering re-registering as an Independent, but never as a Republican. If you think it's bad right now wait till they get to appoint the next Supreem court justices. Thats what the fight should be about right now. We need to get back our basic freedoms.
