Proud of our mixed up, rainy, multi-coloured, multi-lingual, multi-personalitied country? I am. So lets have some fun by doing what we do and make some money for LMHR.
The far right attempt to promote their extremist ideals by creating the illusion of a legitimate, democratic political party in the form of the BNP. We all know what happens when nazis get power though so lets continue to ensure by peaceful, creative means that the far right, in whatever form it may appear, never gain any meaningful power. Without meaning to get to heavy - it was only 60 years ago when our grandfathers and grandmothers fought and died to keep these unsavoury folk from the door. I reckon we got a sweet deal if all we have to do to help is organise a night of good music and share a few beers!
The far right is rising all over Europe right now, lets make sure that the UK has nothing to do with that.
The most you will be asked to do to support the gig is to tell your friends about it and to come along and join in the fun. Maybe with a friend or two? Anything else you want to offer that you think might be useful (time/expertise/money etc) would of course be hugely welcome!
The venue for this event MIGHT already be found and it's a good one. As are a couple of the acts that MIGHT be interested in playing. Fingers crossed!
Please note: I am not a part of LMHR, just a musician wanting to do something good by raising some money and awareness for some of the good guys so come and help me! ALL profits go to LMHR.
