"I will burn a maple leaf symbol (patch, mini-flag, etc) outside Canada House at 5pm today, as a symbol of the global future that Canada is burning by rejecting the Kyoto Protocol and the practical steps needed to prevent catastrophic climate change, but only if 24 other Canadian ex-pats will do the same."

More details
Canada and the Harper Government have gone a step further in their abuse of the environment than most of us ever thought they would, officially leaving the Kyoto Protocol (http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/cdb66522-2519-...), the only internationally binding piece of climate legislation that the world has to fight runaway climate change.
Canada is already home to the most destructive environmental project on Earth, the Alberta tar sands. This latest move is part of the Harper regime's commitment to this dirty industry, for which the whole world is paying the price.
As a Canadian in London, the lengths the Government of Canada is willing to go to protect its ability to destroy the planet will not be done in my name.
Canada House is next to Trafalgar Square (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_House).
If the pledge is achieved, we will meet at 5pm, outside Canada House. Bring your own maple leaf paraphernalia.
If you are Tweeting, you can use the hashtag #KyotoSnub. I'm @hackofalltrades on Twitter, should you have any suggestions or questions...
