I'm a member of the public, I'm not connected to the police in any way.
I'm very concerned about the changes that are happening to Policing in this country.
Government 'Reforms' of policing actually mean Privatisation, and I don't want private security guards patrolling my town.
When I see a police officer I want to have confidence that they are acting solely in the public interest and not in the interest of a private company or shareholders of that company.
Here's what its all about:
This pledge is symbolic, there is no specific action required.
But the purpose is to let the Police Officers fighting these changes know that the British Public care about these changes and support their fight on our behalf.
By signing this pledge you are making a statement of your support for keeping Policing in this country as a 100% public service which operates in the interests of the British Public and no one else.
