"I will avoid waste in order to help Fisk University cut consumption and cost. I want to help to reduce the wasteful paper consumption on campus and in the United States. I will inform my peers of this commitment and encourage them to do the same. By reducing my paper use I will alleviate a financial burden on Fisk and an unnecessary burden on the environment. I believe that the quality of my work or my life will not suffer if I use less paper or plastic or other waste. I commit to using the valuable online resources provided for me such as Blackboard, Banner Web, and campus email. By doing so I will save money and create less waste. but only if 150 Fisk students, faculty, and administration will do the same."
