We are a registered social investment and development company in Southern Africa. We are currently addressing digital divide issues on a major scale through the GPRS networks. We have already developed software for phones to overcome the problem, but need your assistance:
The barrier to entry to provide email to low-income households as means of communication, is that many mobile phones in circulation are still old and not WAP-enabled. We are now looking at donating WAP-enabled (GPRS) phones to the unemployed youth in our projects - in order for them to receive notice of job opportunities via mobile and respond in return. Read more about us www.uthango.co.za... and consider pledging a phone or its equal in money! We could be assisting hundred times as many people if hundred times as many pledges come in...

if you still like some mobys, just gimme a call at +49 1577 3936272. I wanna help you but I'm still unsure whether German mobys work in Southern Africa.
Btw, why don't you send the required information by text message? That'd be much cheaper.
Marc
Thanks for your comment and pledge. I will be in touch! The reason why we don't use text messaging is because it is limiting. We have developed software that uses compression on data and are now able to communicate at a fraction of the cost with participants in the programme. However, many unemployed youth lack the phones needed.
