In my view, the Digital Economy bill is an affront to internet freedoms and it attempts to enshrine in law a business model which is rapidly becoming outdated. I believe the consequence of the DEBill will be to harm innovation in our society and to exacerbate a climate of fear in order to perpetuate an industry that refuses to change.
I'm tired of all these attempts to limit my freedom and hence will respond in the only way that I know how, by exercising consumer choice.
If enough people join me, then for 24 months, I will no longer purchase any music or films with the exception of that which is offered under a creative commons license. I will continue to attend gigs and concerts.
