Caterers claim there's no demand, they think there's no demand because no one asks, no one asks because they think there's no point, if they do ask they are told 'there's no demand'.
I've never asked in Sainsbury for a vegan pork pie but I've bought plenty at Holland & Barrett(hence the bulging waistline)
If there was no demand there would be no vegan pubs in Glasgow (Mono) and Brighton (George) and no vegan chocolate and mayonaisse (Plamil) in the supermarkets.
Caterers are also scared - they don't know what to do about healthier plant based foods - If they create a vegetarian option it's usually covered in cheese and swimming in saturated animal fat.
We'd like to show the caterers how and why to do it - please help us.
The Vegan Society say they have no funding for this - let's create the funding.

If they get around to doing something viable then great - we'll give them the money to remove the excuse "lack of funding"
Meanwhile I'd like to make sure something happens in 2006 whatever their priorities.
It's a no brainer, heads we win - tails we win.
There's also Jon Carpenter's of course,
