I'm going to spend at least 4 hours a week in my local Oxfam shop (not just looking through the scabby books and pinnies). I have realised that my fiver a month direct debit is not quite enough to salve my conscience. Any local, national or international charity shop is enough to make this pledge go through.

- I've already asked behind the counter at my local Oxfam but I know that many of the bigger charities (PDSA, Save the Children, Cancer Research etc) have published leaflets on how to go about volunteering.
