Quite right and that cuts both ways.

So people moaning about a spinning ice cream should get a life and Burger King shouldn't encourage such intollerance.

By doing so they encourage backlash racism, which is why I started this pledge.

go Jo! go Jo! Lol...is this issue supposed to be about the boycott of burger king or is their actually a race issue going on here?! Neway I am for boycotting B.K...they shud think about how they present images in the future, it will teach them a lesson to be more culturally aware and more reseach-wise, don't you think? It is unlikely the whole heirarchy of B.K would collapse anyway, so r we reli making a difference?! Btw do u not find it interesting to be living in such a multi-cultural city..we shud be trying to educate ourselves more about other cultures and religions rather than fearing them as this is the predominant reason for racism I believe..learn to live alongside each other and stamp hatred and fear out!

Why on earth do have to change a slightest a bit just beaus it defends a Muslim person. There are many other people of various faiths in this country and do not change something when it defends them. Do we really give a dam about this issue?

scott cochrane you are one racist bastard. you are living in a ethinic minority country where you are practically surrounded by muslims and theres nothing you can do bout it. Muslims will stay put here for as long as they want. its freedom of speech. Just because one stupid fool like you says lets kick muslims out, its not going to happen because the government wont allow. the economy will go down and ur silly country will go in to recession..and etc. so basically i would say muslims are the foundation of it all. i am sure that in your workplace somewhere there is a muslim person there who has a higher position than you. and if they were to leave the country then you may even lose you job depending on what position they were in. so i suggest you think carefully before you say something next time. anyway back to the actual pledge, i never have been to bk n my life because i prefer mcdonalds. This person is right to boycott Bk if it is offending his religion.

John Michael Jasset staggered into the restaurant
about 5 pm last Thursday after being hit by a car.
He was thrown from his bike and also scraped his
knee, arms and hands, his mother, Cheryl Jasset,
said “But when he asked for some ice to put on his
ankle,he was told he had to pay for it”.
---------------------------------------
This is going to cost your branches throughout the world a lot more, I for one will never enter one of your shops again, I hope you feel really proud, it is the most disgusting lack of care I have ever heard of.

Yes, I understand every group of society has it's morons. What really bugs me, is other morons then make decisions like this one!

I have nothing against moderate Muslims, who just want to adhere to their religion in peace. I do have a problem with anyone who wants to impose their ways on me.

That includes the fascist Neo-Labour party.

Hi,
I hope you will have noticed that most of this pc drivel does not emanate from Muslims themselves. We are not offended by piggy banks, xmas trees, carol singers etc. This is a country with a Christian majority and as such, it is no concern of ours what you do, so long as you don't force us to join in. What was this ignoramus doing eating in a Burger King restaurant anyway, since meat slaughtered by Christians is not permissible for us? Unfortunately, the Muslim world has more than its fair share of people who compensate for not practising their religion by making fatuous protests, supposedly in support of Islam.

I'm happy to support you, I don't eat at places like that anyway being a vegan (please don't tell me that veganism is also part of PC, I am vegan because of animal suffering and not to be PC, I think these things out for myself and definitely do not always agree with PC views!).

I actually agree that this particular situation you describe is ridiculous pandering to PC, a picture of a spinning ice cream is hurting no-one, and besides if the people at Murder King have so much respect for minority groups and their sensitivities why don't they just go all the way and redesign their ice-creams and burgers to be vegan so anyone can eat them (vegan food is even acceptable for halal Muslims)?? Now that would actually make some sense.

The PC madness continues.

British banks are banning piggy banks because they may offend some Muslims.

Halifax and NatWest banks have led the move to scrap the time-honoured symbol of saving from being given to children or used in their advertising, the Daily Express/Daily Star group reports here.

Boycott Natwest. Boycott Halifax. They don't deserve any business, for they are PC mongers of the worst kind.

If this guy's such a good Muslim that an Ice-cream lid that happened to vaguely resemble the word 'Allah' in Arabic script, why was he in Burger King, which last time I looked wasn't halal, to start with?

The expression 'political correctness gone mad' is overused, but I think it's appropriate in this case.

If we removed everything from the public gaze that offended anyone for any reason then we'd need to bulldoze Britain from John O'Groats to Lands End. I would however like to see 'Quarry House' in Leeds go though, as it looks like a bad replica of Battersea Power station without the chimneys, 'designed' by some idiot with a terminal mind altering drug problem and is a foul blot on the Leeds landscape.
