"I am writing with great solitude and need to you to rally like you always do in times of need. One of my students and his family will be evicted from their apartment on the 29th. The reason for this is not because the mother does not work. She works two jobs and has four children ages 12, 10, 7, and 4. The father was murdered last July. When this happened, the mother, Janice was stuck paying rent, the bills by herself and also had to help pay for funeral costs. My student, Nish, sells candy that I give out as rewards to kids and then gives the money to his mom. (Found that out today.) They are in need of help in the worst way and you know me, I am always the one to the rescue, or at least i try to be. Another teacher and I are rallying together to help her raise money not only for rent, but to help with the bills. I as Student Council leader already donated $150 of our funds and I personally gave $100. If you can give anything, you know it will be appreciated. My student has even talked about not having a Christmas or Thanksgiving this year and it breaks my heart. I have already been asking people to help make a Thanksgiving meal and that has been taken care of. Anything you feel you can give will help. Even kind words. - contribute $20 to the "Stop the Silence" charity, for the victims of child sexual abuse, on the behalf of Daniel Felix for his marathon run with the Marathon Charity Partners (MCP) fund raiser group
- set up a standing order of at least £5 a month to help the Open Knowledge Foundation keep developing and promoting open knowledge
- pledge to pay £1 or £2 per goal that Michael Gash scores this season and I will make a £9 donation now to the playing budget at https://secure.myfootballclub.co.uk/donation
- donate £5 a month to become a Patron of TheyWorkForYou
